Search and Rescue Assistance in Disaster
We have been involved with helping SARAID raise funds for over a
year now, however on the 5th Nov it moved to a new height. Pinnacle
Challenge ran the first SARAID sponsored abseil in Gloucester, from the
British Home Stores building on Eastgate Street.
We put together a package for the whole event, including all instructors,
kit and insurance, alongside the crowd control and registration/paperwork
aspect. We even helped with the marketing of the event.
On the day we abseiled over 100 people from the top of the building and
helped to raise in the region of £3000 for the charity. SARAID were extremely
happy with this as we only had about 2 weeks marketing time, due to the
team being on a mission in Pakistan. We did however accept lots of on
the day registrations.
We have had a lots of positive feedback from participants including;

event work smoothly and safely. Especially to Paula, who was incredibly
professional and patient dealing with someone who was absolutely
petrified, as she gently convinced me that I could go over the
